Project Description

Jones Engineering Group were responsible for the receipt, move in and installation of equipment at the ConvaTec Rhymney Enhancement Project. The project involved an extension to the production capacity connected to the existing Unit One building.

The New building is separated into the following:  Process Areas, Medical Suite, Hydrocel Suite, Future Suite and Silver Hydrocel Suite. These are also Class ‘D‘ Clean rooms with Relief Panels. The other main support areas are a Day Tank room, Compressor room, purified water room, Mechanical area (HVAC) and Interstitial Space (Pipe Rack). We installed over 6,700m of pipe on this project.
