The 26th Annual National Irish Safety Organisation / Northern Ireland Safety Group (NISO/NISG) Safety Awards took place on 13 October 2017 at a special ceremony at The Radisson Blu Hotel in Galway. Harry Galvin, NISO President, along with John Thompson, Incoming NISG chair, and Seán Kyne T.D., Minister for Rural Affairs and Natural Resources, presented awards to over 100 organisations from all around the island of Ireland.
We were awarded with the prestigious All Ireland Supreme Safety Award. The Supreme Safety Award is a major achievement and is presented to the organisation which has shown consistently good or continuously improving health and safety performance over a number of years and an outstanding contribution to occupational safety, health and welfare during the previous year. We would like to invite you to meet us at a Meet the Buyer Event for the construction of the new children’s hospital organised by Enterprise Ireland in association with the National Paediatric Hospital Development Board. This event will offer you the opportunity to meet with us and pitch for business. Construction, engineering, mechanical and electrical companies, as well as companies in related sectors, are invited to attend.
Face-to-face meetings between the buyers and potential suppliers will take place on the day, enabling companies to present themselves with the aim of picking up business.
Attendees can also visit the business zone where the Department of Social Protection, Construction Industry Federation, Dublin City Local Enterprise Office, IntertradeIreland and Enterprise Ireland will be available to provide information and support.

The Jones Engineering Dublin City Liffey Swim took place on Saturday 9th September with over 500 swimmers of all ages, abilities and nationalities competing to win the coveted Cup. Every competitor has a chance to win due to a special handicap system. Participation rates in swimming and open sea races are on the up once again and this was one of the biggest yet, up from 440 in 2014 and 336 in 2013. The swim of 2.2 kilometres started at Rory O’Moore Bridge (beside the Guinness Brewery) and finished at North Wall Quay in front of the Customs House and all competitors received a commemorative medal upon finishing the race.
First run in 1920, the Liffey swim is the oldest continuously run annual swimming race in Europe. We are the official race sponsor for the next 10 years, and as one … Read More »

We are delighted to announce that we will be participating in the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics) Engineering-in-a-Box programme for the second year in a row.
The Engineering-in-a-Box programme allows us to connect with our local community and inspire children through fun and engaging learning. We show the pupils how to look at problems and challenges that have faced humans throughout history and how we work to solve them.
Last year two of our Jones Engineering Group engineers, Dave McSweeney from our electrical division and Shane Fitzgerald from our mechanical division, completed a 10 week programme for the 4th class in Carrigtwohill Boys National School with teachers Katie Forrest and Sandra McCarthy and it was a resounding success.
