At Jones, we recognise the growing awareness around the demand for responsible business behaviour with issues relating to sustainability, ethics and respect for all of our stakeholders. We are extremely passionate about culture, diversity and inclusiveness in the workplace and recognise the impacts that they have on both their environment and the society in which they operate.
We are extremely proud to announce that on Thursday November 4th, we received two special awards at the 30th Annual National Irish Safety Organisation / Northern Ireland Safety Group (NISO/NISG) Safety Awards.
Jones Engineering received one of the highest awards of the night, the Silver Award, along with the exceptional highest achiever award for achieving a Distinction or a High Achiever award in each of the last ten years.
To achieve these awards, we demonstrated the existence of a proactive health and safety management system with evidence of strong management leadership, of continual improvement, health and safety management system reviews and superior performance by company and subcontractor employees. The award was presented to Declan Grady, Group EHS Manager, on behalf of Jones Engineering by Harry Galvin, President, NISO (National Irish Safety Organisation) at a special award ceremony at the Great Southern Hotel in Killarney.
We have long held safety as our number one value. Priorities can change, values do not. We continually drive, promote and maintain the physical, mental and social wellbeing of all employees and everyone is empowered through our pro-active safety culture. For our team safety is not just a standard, it’s a frame of mind.
We would like to sincerely thank all our staff and specialist subcontractors who continually carry out work on behalf of Jones Engineering in a safe manner in order to achieve and maintain our high safety standards. It is thanks to their commitment, attitude, and willingness to work safely that we continue to be recognised at these awards.
