Company Activity

At Jones, we recognise the growing awareness around the demand for responsible business behaviour with issues relating to sustainability, ethics and respect for all of our stakeholders. We are extremely passionate about culture, diversity and inclusiveness in the workplace and recognise the impacts that they have on both their environment and the society in which they operate.

LEAN Champions

Jones Engineering are delighted to announce that two of our internal LEAN Champions; Ray Curley and Simon Watson have attained the status of Approved LCi Lean Pass Trainer. This makes them the first internal sector organisational trainers to be approved in the country. Congratulations Ray and Simon this is a fantastic achievement!

Simon and Ray have been very busy working closely with the LCi. Simon facilitated one of the breakout streams we sponsored at the Lean Construction Ireland National Conference last week on Thursday 3rd October. The stream included Tom Brinded (McKinsey), Martin Searson (Kirby) and Andrew Norris (Suir) who all spoke under the topic “Collaboration: A team effort”.

At the same conference Ireland’s new Lean Pass Course designed specifically to provide participants with an introduction to Lean in Construction was officially launched by Darrin Taylor (WIT) and Team leader Maria Ryan (Crystal Lean Solutions). Ray and Simon were part of the team that developed the course content along with others from Sisk and DPS over the last few months. The entire team can be seen pictured along with a celebratory cake at the LCI conference.

The second annual Lean Construction Ireland Book of Cases 2019 was also officially launched last week on Wednesday 2nd October. The authors of all 20 case studies were invited and we were represented on the night by Ray and Simon who contributed to the publication on behalf of Jones Engineering.   The contributors include many well recognised names of the Irish Construction Industry and we are delighted to be associated with the project.
