Mater New Adult Hospital
This development covers 54,000 square metres that involves the rebuilding of key parts of hospital which incorporates new adult hospital facilities that will adjoin the existing hospital structures. It was carried out in a city centre location where space is limited. This project earned a H&S award for achieving 2,000,000 man-hours accident free.
New Facilities include:
• New Accident and Emergency Department
• New Outpatients Department
• 12 new theatres and ICU /HDU Departments
• New Radiology Department
• 120 replacement beds, 100% of which will be single rooms
• Expansion space
• New CSSD, catering and waste management departments
• New energy centre
• New 444 space basement carpark on 2 levels
