National Rehab Hospital

The 120 bed National Rehabilitation Hospital is located at Rochestown Avenue in Dún Laoghaire. The hospital provides complex specialist rehabilitation services at a national, regional and community service at both inpatient and outpatient level for patients who have acquired a physical or cognitive disability as a result of an accident, illness or injury and require complex specialist medical rehabilitation services.

The building comprises of:

A new two /three storey Entrance building which includes the new Sports Hall, Fitness Gym and Hydrotherapy buildings at the lower Level 00. A new four storey ward block comprising 120 single rooms in a number of discrete wards at each floor. A new four storey hospital street which runs east-west along the back of the new Entrance Concourse and provides access to the new wards at each level. The hospital street also provides links to the existing NRH buildings at levels 0 and Level 1 via lifts and stair positioned at the end of the street.
