Geo Surveying
Our Geo-Survey division improves the link between design and site. We offer our clients a wide range of high quality survey solutions. Our engineering surveyors are degree qualified and utilise the latest surveying equipment and cutting edge digital technologies. We provide accuracy of measurement which reduces the risk of dimensional errors across all of our projects.
High definition Laser Scanning technology rapidly scans across an object or surface to collect a detailed 3D point cloud containing millions of individual 3D points with accuracies of up to 1mm. Laser Scanning allows us to analyse a real-world object or environment, its shape and location.
Typical project uses include; Building Information Modelling (BIM), 3D modelling, Civil Engineering and Architectural
Deliverables include; 3D Point Clouds, Structural, Mechanical, 3D Visualisations and Fly-Throughs, As-Builts, Wireframe and Surface models, Floor plans, Elevations, and Sections.
From pre-design data collection to accurate on-site implementation, our comprehensive Building Information Modelling support package allows clients to achieve significant benefits in a wide range of projects. Use of Laser Scan, Total Station, Laser Level, and survey instruments ensures BIM support solutions to manage even the most complex undertaking.
Site Control is a network of permanent reference points upon which all other measurement activities are based. An initial traverse establishes a precise control network which can be linked to Irish Transverse Mercator (ITM), Irish National Grid (ING), Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM), or a site specific local grid which is best fit to existing structures. Control networks ensure accuracy and consistency in measurement.
Typical project uses include; Civil, structural, Mechanical, and Risk Management.
Deliverables include; 2D/3D Drawings, Technical survey Report, Coordinate Database and Visualisations.
Monitoring and Inspection surveys ensure that construction works and process equipment operate safely within the specified limits. Monitoring of 2D/3D displacement, deformation, strain, and vibration supports the graphical interpretation of a structure or objects’ behaviour with accurate measurements, whilst not disrupting construction or process works.
Typical project uses include; Structural, Bridges, Road, Rail, Tunnelling, Infrastructure, Crack, Utilities, Equipment, Demolition, Mining, and Quarry.
Deliverables include; 1D/2D/3D Technical survey Report, Trend graphs and charts, Excel Analysis Spreadsheets, Visualisations, and Section drawings.
Mapping is the three dimensional graphic representation of objects and features that can be produced in a range of scales, consisting of a variety of methods of data collection. Topographic surveys are often required for planning and design for architectural and engineering purposes. As-Built Surveys consolidate design and minimise delays during fabrication and construction.
Underground Utility Surveys combine a number of non-intrusive survey techniques to detect and map all utility services in an area. Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), Radio Signal Locator, Electromagnetic Energy Locator, Pipe and Cable Locator, and Acoustic Wave Technologies are all employed as tools in a comprehensive Utility survey of underground structures, chambers, and associated cable and pipe networks.
Typical project uses include; Civil Engineering, Architectural and Regeneration.
Deliverables include; 2D/3D Drawings, 3D Wireframe/Model, Technical Survey Report, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data, and
Geo-referenced detail photography.
Our comprehensive portfolio of tailor made hardware and software solutions for all positioning and measuring tasks, allows us to integrate a wide range of positioning technologies including GPS, Laser Scan, Optical and Inertial technologies with application software, wireless communications, and services to provide complete geo-spatial solutions.
High precision Setting Out ensures positional accuracy as the elements of design and build come together in a construction project. Optimal results are achieved through our stringent checking and in-house QA procedures, to ensure locations can be set out in any coordinate system to sub-millimetre accuracies.
For Architecture, Engineering, and Construction industries, 3D Laser Scanning a physical space or site, to create an accurate digital representation of it. Rendered to a specific level of detail / level of development forming a 3D Model. Delivered in multiple formats including Revit, Navisworks, etc.
