BIM Team Awarded ISO 19650 BSI Kitemark
We are proud to announce that we have obtained the prestigious BSI KitemarkTM certification associated with Building Information Modelling (BIM) for the design, construction and commissioning of engineering services in accordance with the recent international standards; ISO 19650-1 and ISO 19650-2.
The ISO 19650 suite represents an international best practice for managing information throughout the project lifecycle using BIM and supersedes the BS 1192 standard and PAS 1192-2 specification.
Belinda Dillon, BIM Information Manager at Jones Engineering said, “The transition to the ISO 19650 standard represents the team’s capability and willingness to evolve. As Jones Engineering is a specialist contractor involved in many sectors of the Construction Industry, the roll out of a new standard is complex and requires meticulous reviews to ensure our clients’ needs and expectations are met. The Kitemark award is evidence of the hard work put in, and we are very proud to remain industry leaders in this field”.

To achieve the BSI Kitemark, we underwent a 3 day Audit by an expert BSI examiner, providing evidence of full compliance to this standard, including delivery to contract requirements, client satisfaction and supply chain management. The award of the ISO 19650 kitemark reflects the ongoing commitment by Jones Engineering to embed best digital processes, workflows and technology across the organisation.
John O’Brien, BIM Manager at Jones Engineering said, “One of the many advantages of obtaining the BSI Kitemark is the reassurance that it gives to our clients, other project team members and our supply chain. It ultimately sends a message of our overall capability and competence for delivering BIM activities to the highest levels. The Kitemark certification achievement elevates Jones Engineering and will future-proof our position in leading and developing more efficient BIM innovations and solutions for our clients going forward. We look forward to sharing this knowledge with other organisations, bringing digital construction in Ireland and across Europe to greater heights”.
