We are proud to announce that at the 29th Annual National Irish Safety Organisation (NISO) Safety Awards Jones Engineering won both the Exceptional High Achiever Award and the Regional Award (East). This took place via a virtual ceremony.

In order to achieve these awards, we demonstrated the existence of a proactive health and safety management system with evidence of strong management leadership, of continual improvement, health and safety management system reviews and superior performance by company and subcontractor employees.

Declan Grady, Jones Engineering EHS Manager gave his insights saying; “While the COVID-19 pandemic has dominated headlines, it is vital that we remain focused at all times on the day to day operations and pro-active safety culture. We have carefully selected the topics covered in themed toolbox talks and events on our sites throughout the country. The best resources we have as a Group is our staff and specialist subcontractors.  Their support and commitment to our ethos of “Nobody gets hurt” is vital to achieving success with our safety management system. Although the way we work may have changed for now, minimising disruption to our clients and their projects, our teams, our subcontractors and our communities is vital as we face this challenge together.”

We have long held safety as our number one value. Priorities can change, values do not. We continually drive, promote and maintain the physical, mental and social wellbeing of all employees and everyone is empowered through our pro-active safety culture. For our team safety is not just a standard, it’s a frame of mind.
