Women in Engineering

Happy International Women in Engineering Day! Today and every day we celebrate our expert female engineers.

At Jones Engineering, we are keen to promote engineering to all and we recognise that to build the future, it is paramount that we inspire the next generation, and encourage Women in Engineering. Catriona Gallagher, Division Manager states that “Promoting STEM from an early age will make women aware of their unlimited potential.”  With “many opportunities for women to progress their careers in the industry,” Catriona adds that “hard work and good ideas are recognised whatever your gender.”

Here is an insight into the experiences of some of our inspiring woman in engineering, the challenges they face and the future they hope to build –

Lenessa Stander, Karolina Wilson, Joan Carlsson and Michele Mooney, Engineers on one of our overseas projects in Denmark said they chose engineering for the diverse and forever evolving nature of the job, along with the positive changes it brings to our lives.
