On Friday 9th of October, members of the Jones EHS Team descended upon the Great Southern Hotel in Killarney to attend the 35th annual NISO Safety Awards Ceremony.
NISO, an organisation that promotes occupational health and safety in Ireland, uses the ceremony as an opportunity to celebrate positive and proactive safety-management culture, something that Jones Engineering puts at the forefront of our day-to-day activities.
We’re thrilled to announce that we received three awards on the night, an acknowledgement that we’re exceptionally proud of. We were awarded the Continued Commitment Award, a Higher Distinction, and one of the highest honours of the night, the Excellence in Safety Award. To achieve these awards, we demonstrated a proactive health and safety management system, supported by strong management leadership, continual improvement, regular management-system reviews and superior performance by both company and subcontractor employees.
This is a tremendous achievement, particularly for all the members of our team who carry out their work safely, and to the highest standard, every day. We’d like to thank all the Jones Engineering Team for their continuous efforts in helping us achieve these awards through their positive attitude and commitment to working safely.
As a company that places such a strong emphasis on safety, we’re immensely honoured to have our efforts recognised.
