Jones Engineering are proud sponsors of Rugby League Ireland Wheelchair
Jones Engineering were delighted to welcome Sean, Mel, and Orán of the Ireland Wheelchair Rugby League national team to our head office following their success in retaining the Celtic Cup in Scotland for a third consecutive year, securing impressive victories over both Wales and Scotland.
As proud supporters of the team, we are honoured to celebrate their latest achievement of qualifying for the Rugby League World Cup, which will take place in Australia in October 2026. Currently ranked third in the world, the squad demonstrates exceptional talent, determination and commitment.
During their visit, the players met with our CEO, Stephen McCabe, along with members of our sponsorship team. It was a privilege to learn more about the sport, the dedication required to compete at the highest level, and the inspiring journey of a volunteer-led programme that continues to achieve remarkable success on the international stage.
The team will continue their preparations for the World Cup with warmup fixtures against France in July. Everyone at Jones Engineering is immensely proud to support Ireland Wheelchair Rugby League, and we wish the squad every success in the months ahead. We look forward to following their journey and cheering them on as they prepare to represent Ireland on the world stage in Australia this October.
